Is your bible a Catholic "bible"

Look at how the increasingly popular English Standard Version lines up with the CATHOLIC Douay-Rheims "bible". The modern versions are Catholic bibles with Catholic Greek texts at their basis.

1.) Catholic Douay-Rheims
Luke 2:33 And his father and mother were wondering at those things which were spoken concerning him.

ESV
Luke 2:33 And his father and his mother marveled at what was said about him.

King James Bible
Luke 2:33 And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him

The catholic reading of the ESV and DR is blasphemy! Joseph was not the father of Jesus and the REAL Bible (KJB) is always careful never to refer to Joseph as Christ's father.

2.) Catholic Douay-Rheims
2 Timothy 2:15 Carefully study to present thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

ESV
2 Timothy 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

King James Bible
2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth

The catholic ESV reading eliminated the reference to studying the Bible RIGHTLY DIVIDED (dividing covenants, testaments, dispensations, revelations, etc.). That is probably why the catholic religion is based on a strange mixture of Old Testament, New Testament, gospel of the kingdom, and gospel of grace (mixed with tradition).

3.) Catholic Douay-Rheims
1 Corinthians 16:2 On the first day of the week let every one of you put apart with himself, laying up what it shall well please him; that when I come, the collections be not then to be made.

ESV
1 Corinthians 16:2 On the first day of every week, each of you is to put something aside and store it up, as he may prosper, so that there will be no collecting when I come.

King James Bible
1 Corinthians 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come

The King James Bible is the only Bible since 1611 to say that GOD is the one who prospers a man.

4.) Catholic Douay-Rheims
Acts 7:58 And they stoned Stephen, invoking, and saying: Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

ESV
Acts 7:59 And as they were stoning Stephen, he called out, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” .

King James Bible
Acts 7:59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit

Notice how the modern versions omit the reference to Christ as "God".

5.) Catholic Douay-Rheims
Philippians 2:7 But emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men, and in habit found as a man.

ESV
Philippians 2:7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.

King James Bible
Philippians 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

Notice how the catholic bibles support the teaching that when Christ came to earth He "emptied himself" of His deity and then regained it at His baptism.

Is your "bible" a catholic bible?
