On October 6, 1536 William Tyndale was burnt at the stake for translating the Bible into English. He knew this would likely happen before he began translating, but he did it anyway. It is estimated that anywhere between 75% - 90% of the words in the King James Bible come from Tyndale’s work. In fact, there are readings in the KJB that differ from the Textus Receptus in favor of Tyndale’s work.
The modern translations (perversions) of the Bible are made by publishing houses that have gathered all types of translators in order to make money by selling “bibles”. Money is the main reason that there are hundreds of modern translations of the Bible in print. Even the author of The King James Only Controversy, James R. White, admitted this in his interview with Steven L. Anderson. These modern versions are required to make a certain quota of changes from the other translations in order to obtain their copyright to make money.
Had you rather have a Bible that comes from a line of translations produced by Christians who were martyred for translating it into English, or had you rather have a Bible that was produced by publishing houses interested in making millions of dollars from the creation of a new translation? Which Bible do you think God was behind the creation of? Which translator cared the most about the word of God?
