In this present dispensation of grace we are justified without our works and by the faith of Jesus Christ. In this age when a person puts their faith in Christ's blood after that God justifies us by Christ's faith.
Romans 3:
[20] Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
[21] But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
[22] Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
[23] For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
[24] Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
[25] Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
[26] To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
[27] Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
[28] Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
The "faith of Christ" whereby we have righteousness and justification is Christ's faith, not ours. The "faith in His blood" is our faith that we have when we believe the gospel and trust Christ being instantly and freely justified from all things.
1 Corinthians 15:
[1] Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
[2] By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
[3] For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
[4] And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Romans 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Ephesians 1:
[6] To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
[7] In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
[13] In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Ephesians 2:
[5] Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
[6] And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
[7] That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
[8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
[9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.
[10] For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Colossians 1:
[13] Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
[14] In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Acts 13:
[38] Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:
[39] And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
Now justification by faith is actually a broad category. Who's faith are you being justified by? Your own faith (human faith) is weak and has to be perfected by works. In the Old Testament a man lived by his own faith (Hab. 2:4) and in the gospel of the kingdom that we see preached in Matthew 3-Acts 8 (by the apostles of the circumcision) requires justification by a persons own faith (James 2:17-26, 1 Peter 1:7-11, 1 John 2:1-5, 1 John 5:1-4, 2 John 1:9). That is why Peter said, "if the righteous scarcely be saved" in 1 Peter 4:18, because one might very well barely be saved because his faith is weak.
Thankfully in this dispensation of grace and the gospel of the grace of God, we are justified by Christ's faith without works as we already saw.
Galatians 2:
[16] Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
[17] But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.
[18] For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.
[19] For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
[20] I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Philippians 3:
[8] Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
[9] And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
But what is the faith of Christ?
Philippians 2:
[5] Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
[6] Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
[7] But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
[8] And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
That is it, Christ came to earth and lived a perfectly obedient life and then paid for our sins. That is the "faith of Christ". He lived a perfect life, was crucified, buried, risen, and seated and that is what we receive for our justification--THE FAITH OF CHRIST. That is not our faith in Christ, that is Christ's faith to the Father. Nothing about you justifies you, not even your faith. It is all Christ, His work and His power. And that is exactly what we got. We got justified by His faith and work. When God looks at a saved man he sees a sinless, crucified, buried, risen, and seated person IN CHRIST JESUS. You are "created IN CHRIST". Look at the passages below......
Romans 6:
[3] Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
[4] Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
[5] For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
[6] Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
[7] For he that is dead is freed from sin.
[8] Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
Colossians 2:
[10] And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
[11] In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
[12] Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
[13] And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
1 Corinthians 12:
[12] For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
[13] For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
Now that is church age doctrine, it does work differently for those in the kingdom gospel where one is required to live by his faith instead of the faith of Christ.
Habakkuk 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ:
nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life
which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Also see these references to the Jews under the kingdom program having to live by their own faith which requires being "tried" through works for justification. Mark 16:15-16, Acts 2:38, Acts 3:19, 15:11, Matthew 19:21, 24:13, James 2:17-26, 1 Peter 1:7-11, 3:20-21, 1 John 1:9, 2:3-4, 3:6, 5:1-5, 2 John 1:9, Revelation 2:5, 16, 23, 26, 3:16, 14:12, 22:14, Ezekiel 36:24-28, Jeremiah 31:33-36, 32:37-40, and Romans 11:26-2
That is not true for the church age believer as we saw that we get instant justification through the faith of Christ. When you put your faith in Christ's blood you are instantly justified "from all things" because of the faith of Christ.

James White's "The King James Only Controversy"
Back in 1995 a man named James R. White wrote a 271 page book on how no Greek or Hebrew text/manuscript is the inspired word of God and neither is any translation in any language and certainly not an Authorized King James Version. The first 219 pages pretty much state that nothing is preserved perfectly and that the modern "bible" versions really aren't all that bad. Then from 223 to 238 "problems" with the AV. Let's look at all of his "problems" with the AV.
"Error" #1
Mark 6:20 For Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just man and an holy, and observed him; and when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly.
James White says that the word should be "kept safe" rather than "observed". Did Herod observe John? Yes. Did he keep John safe? No.
Mark 6:27 And immediately the king sent an executioner, and commanded his head to be brought: and he went and beheaded him in the prison,
"Error" #2
Mark 9:18 And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.
James White thinks "pineth away" should be "stiffens out" or "becomes rigid". Why he does that I do not know. The Strong's definition of "stiffens out" has "pineth away" or "withered away". Withered things are stiff. I do not see how this is an error, I do not know anyone that has ever felt lost or confused because of that reading. I imagine James White is the only one who could get thrown off by that reading.
"Error" #3
Luke 18:12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
James White says "posses" should be "get". What he does not tell you is that at the time of 1611 it was not a passive verb. Not to mention the definition of "posses" includes the "getting". I do not see how this is an error, again I do not know anyone that has ever felt lost or confused because of that reading. I imagine James White is the only one who could get thrown off by that reading.
"Error" #4
Acts 5:30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.
Another "error" that only James White could get confused by. He says that "and" should actually be "by". But the passage does not say, "whom ye slew and then hung on a tree", it just says, "whom ye slew and hung on a tree". The Jews slew Christ and they hung Him on a tree--that is a perfectly true statement. If James White is going to get confused over that reading I am not sure how good of a theologian he really is.
Also, the idea is clearly a double charge to the Jews. Such as you killed Him, and not only that you did it by hanging Him on a tree--which was the form of punishment for extreme criminals. Peter said the same thing about the Jews when talking to the Gentiles in Acts 10.
Acts 10:
[38] How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
[39] And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:
"Error" #5
James 3:2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
James White says the reading should be "for we all stumble in many ways" because "Christians don't offend all people". If a Christian is doing his job he should be offending all people. James White is offended that some of us believe we have the perfect and inspired word of God in the form of the King James Bible. We offend lost sinners when we tell them they are filthy and sinful and are about to go to hell if they do not trust Christ and His plan of salvation (1 Cor. 15:1-4, Eph. 1:13). That category includes all non-christians. I offended a Church of Christ cambellite just the other day by telling him water baptism is not required to be saved. I offend most every Christian by saying we are not under the commission of Mark 16 and Matthew 28 (see 1 Corinthians 1:17). I offend a lot of people by saying that the body of Christ did not start until Paul's conversion. I offended a "local church only" brother just earlier today by saying that the body of Christ is the one universal and spiritual body of all believers in the church age rather than each local assembly. We offend people if we do not baptize in the name of Christ or the name of the Trinity (though it does not matter Col. 2:9) or if we do not baptize converts with same same mode of baptism as others. I have offended my pastor before and several other brothers at the church I attend.
My guess would be that if James White does not offend all men than he has never done anything for Christ and does not take a solid stand on any Bible truth.
"Error" #6
1 Corinthians 4:4 For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.
James White says that it should say, "for I am conscious of nothing against myself"--apparently James White thinks he does know something by himself. What Paul is saying is clear from the context, where is the error? James White just has to have a Bible that fits his personal favorite wordings. The Bible is God's book, not James White's.
"Error" #7
Hebrews 9:7 But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:
James White says that it should say, "sins of the people committed in ignorance". But what about the sins not done in ignorance but rather were done consciously and deliberately? James White's now claiming that the "error" in the Bible is an error--absurd.
"Error" #8
Isaiah 65:11 But ye are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number.
James White thinks that the troop and number should be named, Gad and Meni. Again, no error. James White just decided that he wanted things more specific.
"Error" #9
1 Kings 10:28 And Solomon had horses brought out of Egypt, and linen yarn: the king's merchants received the linen yarn at a price.
James White thinks the passage should include where the items were purchased, Kue, rather than that linen yarn was also bought. Why he does that I do not really know.
"Error" #10
1 Chronicles 5:26 And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, even the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, and brought them unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, unto this day.
James White thinks "and" should be "even". However, the Hebrew conjunctions are inexact and it is at the translators discretion on which to use. Clearly the passage is just referring to both the king's titles. Such as 2 Thessalonians 1:12 "That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ." Sometimes the word "and" is used for emphasis on the two titles, there is no contradiction.
"Error" #11
Acts 9:7 And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.
Acts 22:9 And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me.
Mormons taught James White that this is a contradiction, but he actually just misread the verses. Acts 22:9 says that they did not hear Jesus Christ talking to Paul, so the voice they DID hear in Acts 9:7 had to have been Paul's voice and did not see who Paul was talking to.
"Error" #12
Acts 19:2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
James White says that the verse should say "when ye believed" rather than "since ye believed". The problem here is that James White does not know anything about baptism. Baptism with the Holy Ghost is given upon the laying on of hands and it is for power to do signs. He has confused this with the Holy Spirit sealing the church age believer. For more information on baptism look at this post http://av1611studyblog.blogspot.com/2014/06/baptism-questions-answered.html Meanwhile look at Acts 8 and 9.
Acts 8:
[14] Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:
[15] Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:
[16] (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
[17] Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
Acts 9:17 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.
James White does not know anything about right division and so it is messing up his Bible study (2 Timothy 2:15) and that is what messed him and all his buddies up in Acts 8:37. (See http://av1611studyblog.blogspot.com/2014/05/acts-837-should-it-be-in-authorized.html)
"Error" #13
Genesis 50:20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
I am not sure what James White thinks is an error there. Joseph's brothers thought evil against him but God meant that evil unto good. James White wants "thought" to be replaced with "meant", but I do not know why.
"Error" #14
Acts 12:
[3] And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)
[4] And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.
James White thinks "Easter" should be "passover", but there is no error. Both words are clearly in chronological reference to the same period of time. Also, at the time of the AV translation the word "Easter" was somewhat synonymous with "Passover". See the Luther Bible of 1545.
AV: 1 Corinthians 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
Luther Bible: 1 Corinthians 5:7 Darum feget den alten Sauerteig aus, auf daß ihr ein neuer Teig seid, gleichwie ihr ungesäuert seid. Denn wir haben auch ein Osterlamm, das ist Christus, für uns geopfert.
"Osterlamm" = "Easter Lamb"
"Easter" clearly is no error in the AV given that the words refer to the same period of time and were once synonymous. The Luther Bible also has the same reading of Acts 12:4 as the AV does.
However, it is also very likely that Herod was observing the Roman holiday, Easter. Either way there is no error in the AV.

"Osterlamm" = "Easter Lamb"
Nice try James White! --Eli "Hoss" Caldwell
Romans 11 expositions (#2).
Here is some email correspondence I had with a friend over Romans 11.
[16] For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.
[17] And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
[18] Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
[19] Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.
[20] Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
[21] For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
[22] Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
[22] Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity (because of unbelief); but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness (keep receiving God and standing in faith): otherwise thou also shalt be cut off (for unbelief).
The important thing to note about Romans 11 is that it is not talking about any individuals salvation. It is clearly talking about nations and not individuals.
[1] I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
[2] God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying,
[3] Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.
[4] But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.
[5] Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.
[6] And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
[7] What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded
[8] (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.
[9] And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumbling block, and a recompence unto them:
[10] Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.
[11] I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.
[12] Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?
[13] For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
[14] If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.
[15] For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?
1-15 is clearly general information about Paul's Acts ministry how that Israel (as a nation/race) have been blinded but that there is a remnant that is being saved into the grace program. Israel is being diminished and now God is dealing with and blessing the Gentiles (as a nation/race)[2] God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew.

[16] For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.
[17] And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
It is a little confusing with all the different roots, branches, trees, and fat, but I think Paul is saying that the Gentiles are taking part in the blessings from God (fatness). The Gentiles are the wild tree that has been grafted into Israel's former position of blessings and Israel has been broken off. Israel was in unbelief and the Gentiles started believing by faith (as seen from Acts 13 onward) and now God has the Gentiles in Israel's former position of blessings and "fatness".
In 18-19 we see that some Gentiles might start getting "highminded" thinking that God is through with Israel and now they are......I think "spiritual Israel" is a good term for this lol.......The Gentiles might come to a point that they think because they are Gentiles and not Israel than they don't have anything to worry about, just as Israel had been as in Matthew 3:9 "And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham."
The Gentiles were in danger of having a similar mindset, so Paul tells them that Israel was cutoff because of their unbelief and that the Gentiles are standing by faith. That means Israel is blinded and the Gentiles are being saved, but then in 20-21 Paul let's them know that just as the nation of Israel was cutoff from God's blessings ("fatness") FOR UNBELIEF, that same thing could happen to the Gentile nations FOR UNBELIEF.
Some try and use this to say that these saved Gentiles that Paul is writing to could be cutoff from God and that this was of OT prophecy. However, Paul says in verse 25 that this is a "MYSTERY" (not in the OT) and then in v.33 Paul refers to God's plan for all this as "unsearchable" and "past finding out".
Paul had just said in Romans 8 that nothing could separate these believers from the love of God (can't be cutoff). Not to mention the reason that Israel was cutoof was for UNBELIEF and Paul says that these Gentiles are standing BY FAITH (not unbelief, so not in danger of being cutoff).
[22] Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
[23] And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.
[24] For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?
[24] For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?
My interpretation is affirmed here, what I am saying is that Romans 11 is teaching that Israel is in "unbelief" and has therefore been separated from the blessings of God ("fatness") and now that the Gentiles "stand in faith" they are getting the "goodness" and "fatness" and Israel "severity". But if the Gentiles become in "unbelief" they will be cutoff from the "goodness" of God and Israel can believe and come back in the goodness of God.
As a KJB believer I could also use this to say that the Gentiles (as nations) were serving God and standing by faith and so God gave them a perfect Bible in their almost universal language, the AV, as most Gentile nations that have served God (past or present) have had access to English. Though now we see people rejecting the AV and think that they have replaced Israel and are "spiritual Israel" and the "bride of Christ" which they are not. (close to being cutoff?)
[25] For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
[26] And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
[27] For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
[26] And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
[27] For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
Here we see that the blindness of Israel was a mystery and that they will not be God's people again until the fullness of the Gentiles.
2nd Email.
It is a very easy chapter
. The context is talking to Jews (nationally) and Gentiles (nationally) and the subject is "riches" and blessings/fatness from God.
[12] Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?
[17] And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
Those who are broken off from God's goodness and blessing was due to unbelief (rejected God) which was Israel and so now His goodness has gone to the Gentile nations because they are standing by faith (received God).
[20] Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
[21] For if God spared not the natural branches (for unbelief), take heed lest he also spare not thee (for unbelief).[22] Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity (because of unbelief); but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness (keep receiving God and standing in faith): otherwise thou also shalt be cut off (for unbelief).
That is the only thing the passage could be saying, for the saved Gentiles standing by faith do not have to work for salvation (Romans 3-5) and they have eternal security (Romans 8:31-39). How could it be saying anything else?
And history has proven the passage to be true. The Gentile nations that received God and as a whole served God got blessed by God and took part in blessings (God gave us a perfect Bible in the universal language of Gentiles) and those who did not accept God have not been as blessed (look at Africa and Asia). But now, for example, America has gotten high minded and has not continued in the goodness of God and the "rapture" (for lack of a better word) is clearly going to be soon. See 2 Timothy 3.
Especially considering, "Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in" is prominent today. People are claiming to have replaced Israel, they have claimed themselves as the bride of the Lamb, spiritual Israel, etc.
HOSS VS BRIAN KELSON OF ACTS 28.NET (IS GALATIANS 3:28 THE BOC)
Mr. Brian Kelson does not think that Galatians 3:28 is talking about the body of Christ.
His comments in red, mine in green. --Eli "Hoss" Caldwell
Sorry Eli, once any teacher writes that Gals.3:28 is the BOC when Paul says they were Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise given to Abraham, that is the Land, and Gals.4 says they were looking for that heavenly Jerusalem, then it is of little value to discuss such Scriptures with one who reads into the passage the things desired.
1.) Galatians 3:28 is the body of Christ.
[26] For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
[27] For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
[28] There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
[29] And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
That sounds like the body of Christ to me, Jew and Gentile all baptized into Christ--His death, burial, and resurrection. Just like the other Acts epistles that teach the same thing.
Galatians 2:
[16] Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
[20] I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Romans 6:
[1] What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
[2] God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
[3] Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
[4] Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
[5] For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
[6] Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
[7] For he that is dead is freed from sin.
Romans 12:
[4] For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
[5] So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
1 Corinthians 6:
[15] Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
[16] What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
[17] But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
1 Corinthians 10:
[16] The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?
[17] For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
[14] For the body is not one member, but many.
[27] Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
But Mr. Kelson says that these people are not the body of Christ. He must not use a Authorized King James Version, for mine actually says "body of Christ".
2.) Mr. Kelson says that Galatians 3 states that they inherit the land given to Israel--where did it say that at?
Paul says they were Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise given to Abraham, that is the Land, and Gals.4 says they were looking for that heavenly Jerusalem
Mr. Kelson has changed the word of God to fit his doctrine. Look at what Galatians 3 actually says about the blessing that the Galatians get.
Galatians 3:
[6] Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
[7] Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. (all those of faith are the children of Abraham, Mr. Kelson must not be of faith)[8] And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. (Romans 11:11 tells us that we (the church) are blessed through Israel's fall. Therefore we are blessed through Abraham--his fall. Mr. Kelson must disagree) [9] So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. (There's where Mr. Kelson has choked. Mr. Kelson says that this blessing is the land given to Abraham....let's see if he is right.)[10] For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
[11] But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
[12] And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
[13] Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
[14] That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. (Ah ha! Mr. Kelson is wrong again. No land of Israel in the context, the blessings is receiving the Spirit upon the hearing of faith. Mr. Kelson seemingly has not read all of Galatians chapter 3 before.
His next point is that "Gals.4 says they were looking for that heavenly Jerusalem"....who isn't? The body of Christ spends eternity with it's Head and the Head is going to be in the New Jerusalem. 2 Timothy 2:12 and 1 Corinthians 6:2-3 says that we will reign with Christ and 1 Thessalonians 4:17 says we will ever be with the Lord, how can we do that if we are not in the New Jerusalem with Him?
But Mr. Kelson also took Galatians 4 out of context, he quoted an allegory as literal doctrine.
Galatians 4:
[22] For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.
[23] But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.
[24] Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.
[25] For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.
[26] But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.
[27] For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.
[28] Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.
[29] But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.
[30] Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.
[31] So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

[31] So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.
In this ALLEGORY (unwise to try and establish a doctrine based on a figurative passage):
Hagar = the old covenant, the earthly Jerusalem in bondage
Ishmael = those born after the flesh
Sarah = the new covenant, the heavenly Jerusalem which is free
Isaac = those born after the Spirit
“mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, WHICH IS AGAR”
“But Jerusalem, which is above is free, WHICH IS THE MOTHER OF US ALL” (i.e. Sarah)
Paul is not saying that the heavenly Jerusalem is our mother. He is saying that Sarah, who represents the Jerusalem which is above, is our mother. Abraham is “the father of us all” (Rom. 4:16). Abraham is said to be our father in the spiritual sense that we receive righteousness from God by faith as he did. Sarah, Abraham’s wife, is our mother in the spiritual sense that her son, Isaac, represents those that are born after the Spirit. We are not under the new covenant but we are born after the Spirit like those who will be brought under the new covenant.
Nice try Mr. Kelson.
HOSS VS BRIAN KELSON OF ACTS 28.NET (THE RAPTURE OF ACTS)
Mr. Brian R. Kelson of Acts 28.net on the rapture of Acts. His material in red, my comments in green. --Eli "Hoss" Caldwell
Hi Eli,
The present distress does refer to the tribulation period as the Scriptures will show. (Proof?)
The problem with the mid-acts view is that the believers of the Acts period were the BOC, which they are not. (That is a lie. Try 1 Corinthians 6:15-20, 1 Corinthians 10:16-17, 1 Corinthians 12:12-27, Galatians 3:26-29 and Romans 12:4-5)
Then the invented idea that the "rapture" takes the BOC to heaven before the tribulation and wrath, none of this is true either. (That is another lie, try 1 Thessalonians 1:10, 5:9, and 2 Thessalonians 2:7)
What Mid-Acts does is to take later truths and drag them back where they do not fit, and there is little I or we can do for you Eli while you try and explain the Acts period of Paul from the post Acts letters. (I have done nothing of the sort. I have just as much truth about the body of Christ in the Acts epistles than you do in the post-Acts epistles. See http://av1611studyblog.blogspot.com/2014/03/without-prison-epistles.html . I know that the cross is what made the body of Christ possible (1 Corinthians 10:16-17) and that Christ is one body with many members (1 Corinthians 6:15-20, 12:12) and that we get in it by being baptized into His death, burial, and resurrection by the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:13, Romans 6:3-5, Galatians 2:16,20, 3:26-28). I know that we are under the dispensation of grace (Romans 6:11) and that Paul is preaching the revelation of the mystery (Romans 16:25-26). That is just as good or better than what you have in a post-Acts epistle.) We have given you more than enough to show simple differences in Paul and while you were ready to study Acts 28 for a year I was hopeful you might begin to acknowledge some of these, because it is plainly written in Scripture that we must test things differing, Phils.1:10. (I agree. Paul's Acts ministry was mainly to the Jews. His goal is said to be to provoke them to jealousy and get an elect remnant into the grace program (Romans 9-11, 1 Corinthians 9). Israel was being blinded and diminished during Acts and that was a mystery revealed to Paul (Romans 11:25). I know that Acts is a transition book from that ministry to the ministry of the Gentiles outside the covenants of promise. I do acknowledge things differing.)
When Paul wrote 1Cor.7, he said the time was short, the fashion of this world was passing away and because of the shortness of time left, staying single, or in their current status was the best option. Husbands were to live as thought they did not have a wife, even though they did. By being married they would have trouble in the flesh and this is written in the context of the shortness of time.
(Again, you have twisted the passage to mean the 2nd coming of Christ rather than the rapture of the church. The rapture could occur at anytime, the time is always short. That is why Paul says in Ephesians to "redeem the time". Paul seemed to think that Timothy would see the last days before the rapture of the church (2 Timothy 3), your point of Paul expecting Christ's coming to be soon proves nothing. I am expecting Him before supper time. The reason Paul said to remain single was for the "present distress" (1 Corinthians 7:26) as we have already covered in the last session.)
The Lord had already warned about this in Matt.24 as follows; (Oh boy! I'm gonna get me a good kick out of this I bet!)
Mat 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
Mat 24:16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
2Thess.2 is all about Israel's temple and the man of sin, and the Lord's coming to destroy the one who makes the temple desolate. 2Thess.2 is about Matt.24 and Daniel the prophet. (Yes, Paul taught the differences between the rapture of the church and the 2nd coming. He said that the body of Christ was what was hindering the antichrist until it is taken out of the way--raptured out (2 Thessalonians 2:7).
The Lord goes on to say;
Mat 24:19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
Mat 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Those days are the days of tribulation, the Lord doesn't hint that the believers were going to be taken out of it now does he? And neither does Paul. The Lord is giving His instructions as to how to survive through it. (What joke buddy! Christ is talking to kingdom believers and Paul is talking to the body of Christ, that is in no way comparable LOL! I thought you knew your Bible! Matthew-Acts 7 is preparation of the kingdom and is written to kingdom saints. The context of Matthew 24 is the Jews and kingdom gospel believers going through the great tribulation, the time of Jacob's trouble. But Paul preached the gospel of the grace of God to the body of Christ where there is neither Jew nor Gentile and that they were not going to face the tribulation (1 Timothy 1:16, 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, 1 Thessalonians 1:10, 5:9, 2 Thessalonians 2:7, Galatians 3:26-29). I noticed you skipped over some of Matthew 24....let's see what you did not want to show.
[13] But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
[14] And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Oooooh.....brother Kelson, I know why you did not include those verses in your showing! Christ tells people to endure to the end of the tribulation to be saved. That requires one to not take the mark of the beast and not give in to the temptation of it--you have to overcome by your own faith according to 1 John 5:4, 2 John 1:9, James 2:17-26, and 1 Peter 1:7-11. The gospel of the kingdom (which required water baptism, Acts 2:38, Mark 16:15-16, Matthew 28:19, 1 Peter 3:20-21) had to be preached in all the world and then the end would come. That is when the kingdom saints got their sins taken away and forgiven according to Mark 16:15-16, Acts 2:38, Acts 3:19, 15:11, Matthew 19:21, 24:13, James 2:17-26, 1 Peter 1:7-11, 3:20-21, 1 John 1:9, 2:3-4, 3:6, 5:1-5, 2 John 1:9, Revelation 2:5, 16, 23, 26, 3:16, 14:12, 22:14, Ezekiel 36:24-28, Jeremiah 31:33-36, 32:37-40, and Romans 11:26-2.
However, Paul taught that we would not go through the tribulation and that Christ sent him NOT to baptize BUT to preach the gospel and that we currently have received the atonement, that we are already justified from all things and that we now have the benefits of the blood of the New Testament (Israel gets them at the 2nd coming) according to 1 Thessalonians 1:10, 5:9, 2 Thessalonians 2:7, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, 1 Corinthians 1:17, Romans 3-4, 5:8-11, Galatians 2:16,20, 3:1-29, 1 Corinthians 10:16-17, 11:25, 2 Corinthians 3:6, and Acts 13:38-39.
Dear Mr. Kelson, you need to start testing things differing.)
He goes on to say;
Mat 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
Why shorten the days if they are taken out of them?????
Now, here is as plain a statement as can be given;
Mat 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
Mat 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Mat 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
The Lord comes back with a Trumpet after the tribulation. During the tribulation, women should not be pregnant because they would have trouble in the flesh fleeing the anti-Christ, suffering in the wilderness and all the other difficulties poured upon them by the enemy.
(You have mixed the PROPHESIED rapture of Israel (Ezekiel 36:24) with the MYSTERY rapture of the church (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, 1 Corinthians 15:51-58, Romans 11:25). Mr. Kelson, you need to test things differing.)
Mat 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
Mat 24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
Mat 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
The Lord wrote to those who would see those things, just as Paul wrote to those who would see those things. Corinthians, Romans and Thessalonians are all written at the end of the ages but when we make the believers of that time the BOC, then we have real confusion. Starting the BOC with Paul's conversion or gospel in Acts 13 is denying right division, not adhering to it.
(Uhhhgggg. Don't you have anything new? The body of Christ started with Paul in Acts 9 according to Ephesians 3:1-9, 1 Timothy 1:16, 1 Corinthians 6:15-20, 10:16-17, 12:12-27, Galatians 3:26-29, and Romans 12:4-5. They were not going through the tribulation according to 1 Thessalonians 1:10, 5:9, and 2 Thessalonians 2:7. You're boring me Sir.)
At Acts 28, those imminent things were placed to one side, postponed, and that calling associated with Israel put aside also. Only then was the present truth revealed and we are not going to experience trouble in the flesh by marrying, we are not to treat our wives as thought they were not wives, all the advice of 1Cor.7 is dispensationally out of line with today’s age of grace. (I guess if you actually believe all that stuff you have stated than that is the conclusion you would come to.)
Please keep separating the things different Eli. And may the Lord keep helping you as you search and see. (Thank you very much, likewise)
