Critique of the Baptist "Church" false gospel

1 Corinthians 15:
[1] Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
[2] By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
[3] For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
[4] And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 

Acts 13:38-39 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.  


Romans 1:16-17 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Acts 16:30-31 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

As we can see, under Grace the only requirement for salvation is believing that Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose again the third day. All who believe that will be justified from all things. Salvation is not by our works of righteousness, all that is required of us is to be "fully persuaded" (faith) that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day.

Romans 4:
[4] Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
[5] But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Romans 4:20-5:1:
[20] He [Abraham] staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
[21] And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
[22] And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
[23] Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;
[24] But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
[25] Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
[1] Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

However, sadly, many people do not believe the Gospel of the Grace of God (Acts 20:24). Instead, they seek to be justified by their own good works of righteousness. The Baptist denomination is no exception, though they think they are. Most Baptists are very arrogant and self righteous. Baptists will not accept the idea that salvation under Grace (Rom. 6:14) is received by faith without works.


Of course, not 'every' Baptist is preaching a false gospel, there are some Baptists that are saved, but most of them believe in a false gospel and openly attack the idea of salvation by grace through without works (they call it "easy believism"). Like I said, most Baptists are very arrogant and self righteous people. A lot of them even boast in the fact that they profess to be a "Baptist". As if there is some glory in calling yourself a "Baptist". They are just like the Campbellites ("church of christ").

I heard one particular "Independent Fundamental Baptist" say that "Baptists are right and everyone else is wrong". How does that work? Does someone get saved, then read the Bible and learn the doctrines of it and is then "right" which leads him to join the Baptist church? OR does he join the Baptist Church and then become right? Which comes first: being Baptist, or being right? Where does the Bible even use the word "baptist" except to describe one man (John)? Is there even a hint in the Bible that we should use the word "Baptist" to describe ourselves. The word 'Baptist" is a BIBLE word and I think we should use it Biblically.

It would be wrong to be a Biblical Baptist today because John the Baptist 
1.) Did not preach the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ
2.) Did not preach that by believing on Christ trusting His death, burial, and resurrection we could be saved (Paul's gospel).
3.) Did not preach the Grace Dispensation (Rom. 6:14, Eph. 3:2), John the Baptist was a Law prophet.
4.) John the Baptist did not know about the Body of Christ, rapture of the Body of Christ, or any other mystery truths (1 Cor. 4:1, Rom. 16:25, Eph. 3:9, Col. 1:25-28).

In spite of all of this, the Baptist church still loves to boast in the name "Baptist" and sell their books on Baptist history! They still love to tell people that if they are not water baptized then they are not part of the church! Baptists are arrogant, prideful, and are a stench to God. (just like the Campbellite "church of christ")

Isaiah 65:
[1] I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.
[2] I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;
[3] A people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense upon altars of brick;
[4] Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine's flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;
[5] Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day.

In response to this, some Baptists will say "Well it is not the name "Baptist" itself that makes us great, it is the doctrines that we hold to." What would those doctrines be? There are dozens and dozens of different types of Baptists that believe different things about minor doctrines and even major doctrines such as salvation and eternal security.

The worst problem with the Baptist Church is their satanic plan of salvation--they preach a false gospel and 90% of them are not saved based on what they say they believe.

Galatians 1:
[6] I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
[7] Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
[8] But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
[9] As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
[10] For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
[11] But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
[12] For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Romans 16:
[17] Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
[18] For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.


I have already discussed how to be saved under the Dispensation of Grace. Salvation is by grace through faith, not by works of righteousness. Once you believe that Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose again the third day, you are saved and sealed with the Holy Spirit unto the Day of Redemption, complete in Christ as a member of His body (Acts 16:31, Eph. 1:13-14, 4:30, 5:32, Col. 2:10). Anyone who adds anything to the "Gospel of the Grace of God" (Acts 20:24), adding anything to it other than believing on Christ results in a false gospel that promotes self righteousness rather than Christ's righteousness.

Romans 10:
[1] Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
[2] For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
[3] For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
[4] For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

The Baptist Church has added works to the Gospel of Christ. I am not saying that every Baptist believes in a false gospel, I am only saying that most of them do. The vast majority of Baptists are not saved. Just like there are some saved Roman Catholics, there are some saved Baptists.

The Baptists have added many works to the gospel, they all vary among which works that must be done, but most of them do agree that at least some works are required.  

Most of the works that I have seen Baptists present are these:

Baptists teach that a sinner must turn from his sins in order to be saved. 

Baptists teach that you must pray to either God the Father or God the Son in order to be saved. Some amplify this teaching to not just praying, but rather "praying all the way through". They believe that there are degrees of prayer.

Baptists teach that there is not one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Tim. 2:4-6). Baptists misapply Matthew 10:32-33 to teach that lost people must confess Christ before men in order to be saved. Baptists believe that they are some kind of priest that lost people must come and confess to in order for them to be saved. 

Baptists teach that you must walk down to the front of a church building and pray at an "ALTAR" in order to be saved. 

Baptists teach that you must deny your physical life, take up your cross like a martyr, in order to be saved. They misapply Matthew 10:38-39 to teach this.

Baptists teach that you must surrender your life to Christ in order to be saved. There is no verse in the Bible that teaches this.

Those works are also part of the "Church of Christ" Campbellite plan of salvation.
