"Church of Christ" and the no instrument heresy

Church of Christ teachings says that it is wrong to play instruments in church. This is because there is no mention of the the apostles in the New Testament playing any instruments. The problem with that argument is that the apostles also did not mention toilets, sinks, indoor baptisteries, individual communion cups, hymn books, printing presses for printing Bibles, and many other things that the "Church of Christ" uses.

What does the New Testament say about music?

Ephesians 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Even though the Old Testament does not contain the revelations about the mystery, the present gospel and church of this dispensation (Eph. 3:1-9, Col. 1:24-28, Rom. 11:25, Eph. 5:23-32, Eph. 6:19, etc.); does that mean that the Old Testament does not apply today? NO! New dispensations do not destroy all the doctrine of the previous. Some of the Old Testament still applies today.....

Romans 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

1 Corinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

What does the Old Testament say about instruments and singing?

Psalms 71:22 I will also praise thee with the psaltery, even thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.

Psalms 98:5 Sing unto the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.

Psalms 144:9 I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee.

Psalms 147:7 Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:

Playing instruments does not contradict the Revelation of the Mystery (dispensation of grace) and the doctrines thereof. Paul used instruments as an illustration (1 Cor. 13:1), I don't believe he would do that if instruments were a wicked thing (1 Thes. 5:22). God blows two trumpet blasts at the rapture of the Body (1 Thes. 4:16, 1 Cor. 15:52), if the "Church of Christ" is correct then God will be sinning for blowing the trumpet!

According to the Bible, the "Church of Christ" is clearly wrong on the matter of the use of musical instruments. (and pretty much everything else as well)
