James White caught in a lie (Prov. 30:5-6)

Oops! James White accidentally called the King James Bible the word of God! Maybe there is hope for him yet...

"What I encourage you to do, look at what God's word says. Not what men say about it. Use the King James Version, as long as you can understand it..." 1:34-1:44

Actually, what is happening is James White is lying. Like all modern perversion proponents, James White will refer to any version as "the word of God" (excluding the New World Translation) when he does NOT believe it is actually the word of God.

For a book to be the word of God it has to be  PURE, RIGHT, HOLY, and GIVEN BY INSPIRATION OF GOD.

"The words of the LORD are pure words..." (Ps. 12:6)

"For the word of the LORD is right..." (Ps. 33:4)

"And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures...All scripture is given by inspiration of God" (2 Tim. 3:15-16)

James White does not believe that ANY version in ANY language is the "word of God", unless he has a strange definition of "word of God". He does not believe that the King James Bible is "pure", "right", "holy", or "given by inspiration".

Proponents of modern versions will lie and claim that they believe "THE Bible" is the word of God, but then when you ask them what they meant by that they will tell you that they were not referring to any book in their hand and that all the bibles we have today contain errors. They believe that only the so called "originals" were inspired and that God has not preserved His word in any coherent form.

The Great Hebrews Debate

A friend asked me to critique his explanation of why Hebrews is written to and about the Dispensation of Grace. My critique is in blue. --Eli "Hoss" Caldwell

Is Hebrews a Tribulation Book?
Heb. 2:3, 4 How shall we escape, if we NEGLECT so great a salvation, which AT THE FIRST BEGAN to be spoken of BY THE LORD, and was CONFIRMED unto us by them that heard him;

A dispensational continuity exists concerning salvation in the Gospels, through the Book of Acts and the Book of Hebrews. We can find eternal security (Heb. 7:25), a new covenant (Heb. 10:9), the ONE sacrifice as opposed to animal sacrifices (Heb. 10:8-12), Jesus, the AUTHOR and FINISHER OF OUR FAITH (Heb. 12:2), the Mediator of the new covenant (Heb. 12:24), grace (Heb. 13:9), the new covenant sacrifice of praise (Heb. 13:15). Can we assume Paul expected to be with the tribulation saints shortly (Heb. 13:23-25) or did he ask the future tribulation saints to pray for him (Heb. 13:18)? Is salvation in the Book of Hebrews the same as the salvation previously spoken by Jesus?
--Herb Evans

HOSS'S REFUTATION:
[The quotation of Hebrews 2:3-4 actually proves the MAD position to be correct. It shows that the salvation being spoken of in Hebrews is one that began with the Earthly ministry of Christ, NOT the salvation message revealed to Paul, which was a "mystery" revealed to him by the Lord from Heaven (Gal. 1:11-12, 2:7-8, Eph. 6:19, Titus 1:1-3, Rom. 2:16, 16:25, 2 Tim. 2:8, 1 Tim. 1:11-16). The gospel of the grace of God was committed to Paul and was made the "pattern to them which should hereafter believe".

Before going any further, let me remind you that some of the more obvious reasons that Hebrews is not written about the Dispensation of Grace (neither Jew nor Gentile) is that it is called "HEBREWS".  It is written to the "LAST DAYS" (1:2) and the "END OF THE WORLD" (Heb. 9:26). The writer of Hebrews plainly says that he is speaking about the "WORLD TO COME", the Millennium (also see Mark 10:30 and Luke 18:30).

Also before going any further, I would like for you to supply a proof text that Paul wrote HEBREWS. Saying as he is the apostle of the GENTILES (Rom. 11:13, Eph. 3:1, 1 Tim. 2:7, 2 Tim. 4:17). Paul and Barnabas were to "go unto the HEATHEN" and Peter/James/John went to the circumcision (Gal. 2:9). There is certainly no scriptural evidence that Paul wrote Hebrews. The first word in every one of Paul's epistles, Romans-Philemon, is the word "PAUL". Every epistle begins with that word. 2 Thessalonians 3:17 says, "The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write." There is no salutation of Paul in Hebrews. Also, Paul considered his six chapter letter of Galatians to be a "large letter" (Gal. 6:11), but the writer of Hebrews considered this 13 chapter epistle to be "few words" (Heb. 13:22). These epistles could not possibly have the same author.

Answering your first point, there is no eternal security in Hebrews. The Hebrews are not part of the house of God unless they hold fast their confidence and rejoicing of hope firm into the end (Heb. 3:6). Wherefore they must take heed lest any of them depart from the living God (Heb. 3:7, 12). The Hebrews are made partakers of Christ IF they hold the beginning of their confidence stedfast unto the end (Heb. 3:14). If the Hebrews did not hold their confidence and faith firm and stedfast unto the end, they would not enter into God's rest, the Millennium/Land (Heb. 3:14-4:1). The promise of entering into the rest will leave them and they will come short of it (Heb. 4:1). The Hebrews have to LABOR to enter into that rest and their works will NOT cease until they enter into it (Heb. 4:10-11).  Just as Christ learned obedience by the things which He suffered, the Hebrews have to "obey" Him in order to gain eternal salvation.

Hebrews says that if any "fall away" (from the doctrine of Christ: 6:1-2) then it will be impossible for them to gain their salvation back and they will be cursed and burned (Heb. 6:3-9). This is what 2 John 9, "Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son." Those that "fall away" from the doctrine of Christ and abide not in it, they lose their salvation.

The Hebrews had works and labors of love which they showed towards God's name and they ministered to the saints. They needed to shew this same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end, not being slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. (Heb. 6:10-12).

Hebrews 9:28 says that the Hebrews have to be LOOKING for the Second Advent in order to appear without sin unto salvation. That is doctrine for Daniel's 70th Week according to Matthew 24:42-51, 25:13. Believers in the Dispensation of Grace won't even see the Second Advent, we will already be in Heaven. But even for our rapture, we do not have to be looking for it in order to take part in it (1 Thes. 5:9-10). Also, in the Dispensation of Grace we are already "without sin" and have "salvation" (Rom. 4:7-8, 5:11, etc.). It is the believing Jews in Daniel's 70th Week that get their sins blotted out at the Second Advent, not us (Acts 3:19-21, Rom. 11:25-28, Matt. 19:28-29, Jer. 23:6, 33:8, etc.).

Hebrews 10:23-27 says that the Hebrews need to hold fast the profession of their faith without wavering, provoking one another to good works, as they see the day approaching (Day of the Lord). Why? Because if they sin wilfully after they received the knowledge of the truth, there is no more sacrifice for their sins. Only a "a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries".

Hebrews 10:28-31 says that the Hebrews that were sanctified will receive a "MUCH SORER PUNISHMENT" than being killed (fiery indignation, hell vs 27) if they trod underfoot the Son of God and count the blood of the covenant an unholy thing. God will take "vengeance" on them and judge them. That is not the Dispensation of Grace where we have "peace with God" and are not under His wrath (Rom. 5:1, 5:9, 1 Thes. 1:10, 5:9).

Hebrews 10:35-39 commands the Hebrews to cast not away their confidence, that they "need" patience after they have done the will of God in order to receive the promise. Verse 37 says that the Second Advent is at hand. Verses 37-38 plainly say that if the Hebrews "draw back" their faith then they have drawn back unto perdition and not believed to the saving of the soul.

Hebrews 12:14-17 says that the Hebrews have to follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord. Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person. If you take that for what it says, the Hebrews who do not follow peace and holiness will not see God, they will fail of the grace of God and be defiled. They will be "rejected" as Esau was.

Hebrews 12:25 says that the Hebrews have to "refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven". The Hebrews have to "have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire." Obviously we under Grace should serve God acceptably, but we are not in danger of being consumed by fire.

Your second point is that "we find a new covenant" in the book of Hebrews. Exactly! That is one of the main reasons Mid-Acts Dispensationalists understand that it is written to Israel. The New Covenant with Israel as prophesied of in Jeremiah 31:31-36, 32:36-42, 33:1-18, Ezekiel 11:17-21, 36:12-38, 37:1-28, etc. is made with ISRAEL. It is done at the end of Daniel's 70th Week at the Second Advent, when God will pour out His Spirit on Israel and put His "LAW" in their heart. It includes believing Israel being restored to their land, rapture and resurrection to their land, receiving a new King, receiving atonement by the blood of Christ, and receiving the Holy Spirit with the Law in their hearts. And remember it is at the Second Advent when He takes away theirs sins and they receive the atonement as seen in those scriptures above as well as Matthew 19:28-29, Acts 3:19-21, Rom. 11:25-27, and scores of other passages.

This New Covenant is NOT made with the Gentiles. The people who receive the NEW Covenant are the same ones that had the OLD Covenant. Which is obvious by the plain statement, "I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah". "this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days" (Hebrews 8:8-10). From the context of the passages listed above, it is clear that this New Covenant is not made until the end of Daniel's 70th Week when the Lord gathers Israel and sets them in their own land. Millennial context of the New Covenant is evidenced by the fact that the covenant states "they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest". It is only in the Millennium when everyone will know the Lord, when He is physically here on Earth ruling from Jerusalem with the believing Jews and the remnant of Gentile nations comes up to worship Him (Isa. 2, Micah 4, Zech. 14, Isa. 66, etc). Nobody today keeps the New Covenant because #1 They are not Jews. #2 They don't keep the Law. #3 They are not in Israel. etc.

As for your arguments about the author wanting to be with the Hebrews shortly and wanting them to pray for him (13:18, 13:23-25), that is a straw man argument. No Mid-Acts Dispensationalist disputes the fact that Hebrews is a letter to historical people. We believe that Hebrews, as well as most of James-Revelation, were written between Acts 1-8 before the Dispensation of Grace was dispensed and when the Kingdom was being offered to Israel (Acts 1:6-8, 2:30, 3:19-26). These epistles were written to real, historical people. In particular they were written to the Hebrews under New Covenant doctrine because the "little flock" was going to get the Kingdom (Luke 1:32-33, 1:67-79, 12:32, Matt. 19:28-29, Acts 1:6, 2:30, 3:19-26). Of course, the mystery Dispensation of Grace has been interrupting that for the past 2,000 years.

Just because Hebrews-Revelation were books given to people historically does not mean that they are not prophetic in doctrine. The OT prophets were written historically to Israel years ago, but their doctrine is mostly prophetic.

To dispute that Hebrews is prophetic just because it was written historically to people 2,000 years ago would be like disputing that Isa. 53 is about Christ because it was written historically to the Jews hundreds of years before.

One final point about Hebrews not being written about the Dispensation of Grace, look at Hebrews 13:2. "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares." Have you followed that verse lately? Because my family never lets strangers in the house. We always pretend like we're not at home. Paul wrote in Colossians that we do NOT see angels today. Colossians 2:18 "Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,"

A bro. just contacted me and told me about his great new site:  http://www.graceclips.com/

King James Bible believing, Mid-Acts Dispensational teaching (2 Tim. 2:7, 2:15, 3:16)

Check it out!

Calling upon the name of the Lord: Romans 10:9-13

I have done many posts on the so called "sinner's prayer", but this one will specifically deal with Romans 10:9-13 and WHAT it is actually talking about.

First of all, here are some facts about the passage and the context:

1.) The "salvation" in the context is Israel's (vs 1). Individual salvation is not even being covered in the context. Romans 9-11 is about Israel nationally (Rom. 9:1-5, 10:1, 11:1, 11:26-27).

2.) How Gentiles under grace receive justification was already taught in chapters 1-5 of Romans (1:16-17, 3:19-28, 4:1-5, 4:24-25, 5:1). Chapters 6-8 are not about how to get saved, they are about our new identification and standing in Christ. Chapters 9-11 are not about how to get saved, they are about Israel (fall and restoration).

3.) The "every one" of verse 4 is referring to every one in Israel, for the Gentiles were not under the law (Rom. 9:4, 1 Cor. 9:20, Eph. 2:12, Col. 2:14).

4.) "The man", "thine", and "thee" of verses 5-9 are referring to Israel. Check the context of Paul's quote (Deut. 30:11-20).

5.) When Paul does mention the Gentiles getting saved (10:20), he quotes Isaiah 65:1 which says, "I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me."

With those facts in mind, look at the passage

Romans 10:
[1] Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
[2] For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
[3] For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
[4] For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
[5] For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.
[6] But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
[7] Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
[8] But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

[9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
[10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
[11] For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
[12] For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
[13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved
.

Romans 10 is referring to Israel rejecting Christ and the New Covenant program that God offered them, instead they wanted to establish their own righteousness and continue in the Old Covenant law program. Under the New Covenant Israel will say "in the LORD have I righteousness" when "in the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory" (Isa. 45:24-25). But since Israel rejected the LORD (Jesus Christ) they missed out on their New Covenant blessings and they have been temporarily postponed until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in....

Romans 11:
[25] For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
[26] And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
[27] For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins
.

Israel rejected the Gospel of the Kingdom and so they temporarily became fallen, diminished, and cast away (Rom. 11:12-15).

Notice the contrast between the Old Covenant salvation and New Covenant salvation of Israel in Romans 10.

"For Moses describeth the righteousness WHICH IS OF THE LAW, That THE MAN WHICH DOETH those things shall live by them." (Romans 10:5)

"But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)...The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart...That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved" (Romans 10:6-9)

The Old Covenant involved Israel living by their own righteousness of doing those things written in the law. But the The New Covenant that will be made with Israel is about what God does and it is based on the redemption Christ provided on the cross (Heb. 9:12-14, 12:24). He will then put His "law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts" (Jer. 31:33) and He will put His Spirit in them (Ezek. 11:17-20, 36:23-33, Joel 2:28-29). This grace will be brought unto them at the revelation of Jesus Christ, the Second Advent (Matt. 19:28, Acts 3:19-21, Rom. 11:26-27, 1 Pet. 1:5-13, Heb. 9:28). It is at that time that God will "cleanse them from all their iniquity" (Jer. 33:8) and "Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation" (Isa. 45:17). In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory. (Isa. 45:25)

Romans 10:9-13 is referring to the OT scriptures that say Israel (and any believing Gentiles) at the end of Daniel's 70th Week will call upon the Lord, inherit the riches of the kingdom, and never be ashamed again.

Joel 2:
[26] And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.
[27] And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.
[28] And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
[29] And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
[30] And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
[31] The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.
[32] And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.

Zephaniah 3:
[8] Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.
[9] For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent.
[10] From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants, even the daughter of my dispersed, shall bring mine offering.
[11] In that day shalt thou not be ashamed for all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the midst of thee them that rejoice in thy pride, and thou shalt no more be haughty because of my holy mountain.
[12] I will also leave in the midst of thee an afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in the name of the LORD.

Some people mistakenly believe that Romans 10:13 is referring to Gentiles under Grace because verse 12 says "there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him". The people would be 100% correct, if the context did not demand otherwise. The context is referring to the covenant with Israel (Deut. 30) and the future salvation promised to all who come to mount Zion to worship the Lord for deliverance. ALL NATIONS will come to Zion, both Jews and Greeks, and they will all receive "deliverance" at the beginning of the Millennium.

"And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance" (Joel 2:32) "And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem." (Isa. 2:2-3)

And notice Zechariah 8:21-23.

"And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also. Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD. Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you."

OTHER REFERENCES TO ISRAEL AND GENTILE NATIONS CALLING UPON THE LORD AT THE END OF DANIEL'S 70TH WEEK.....

Isaiah 55:
[1] Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
[2] Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
[3] Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.
[4] Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.
[5] Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.
[6] Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
[7] Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
[8] For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
[9] For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
[10] For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
[11] So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
[12] For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
[13] Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

Isaiah 58:9 Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;

Zechariah 13:9-14:1 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God. Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.

Jeremiah 29:
[12] Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
[13] And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
[14] And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.

Jeremiah 33:
[1] Moreover the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the prison, saying,
[2] Thus saith the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the LORD is his name;
[3] Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
[4] For thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are thrown down by the mounts, and by the sword;
[5] They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but it is fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have slain in mine anger and in my fury, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city.
[6] Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.
[7] And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.
[8] And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me.
[9] And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure unto it.
[10] Thus saith the LORD; Again there shall be heard in this place, which ye say shall be desolate without man and without beast, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast,
[11] The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD.
[12] Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Again in this place, which is desolate without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, shall be an habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.
[13] In the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the vale, and in the cities of the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks pass again under the hands of him that telleth them, saith the LORD.
[14] Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of Judah.
[15] In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.
[16] In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness.
[17] For thus saith the LORD; David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel;
[18] Neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to kindle meat offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.
[19] And the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah, saying,
[20] Thus saith the LORD; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season;
[21] Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.
[22] As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me

As you can see, the "salvation" that is gained by calling upon the name of the Lord is NOT the individual salvation of the Gentiles under Grace. This salvation is received by Israel and the nations after the Second Advent. It is the remnant of Israel's "salvation" from being cast off with the rest of the nation. It is the "salvation" of the remnant of Gentile nations that did not worship the beast and helped Israel, the rest of the nations will be cast into hell (Zech. 14:3, Joel 3:1-12, Matt. 25:32-34, etc).

Applying Romans 10:9-13 to individual Gentiles under Grace is plain silly. Does not the end of the chapter say in regard to the Gentiles that God "was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me." (10:20)? Isn't that the exact opposite of what is said to Israel, "Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near" (Isa. 55:6)?

Besides that, look at what Romans 10:9-13 actually says. You "believeth unto righteousness" with your heart, but it says that "with the mouth confession is made unto salvation". If you apply this to the salvation of individual souls you would end up believing that someone is "righteous" when they believe the gospel, but they are not "saved" until they confess with their mouth. That does not make much sense! Not only does it not make sense, it would also contradict what Paul said in Romans 1:16-17, that righteousness and salvation come by believing the gospel.

Romans 1:
[14] I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.
[15] So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.
[16] For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
[17] For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith
.

Also, when it comes to individuals, "God heareth not sinners" (John 9:31, 1 Pet. 3:12, Prov. 1:28-30, 15:29, 28:9, Micah 3:4, Isa. 1:15, 59:1-4, Ps. 34:15-17, Matt. 7:21-23, 15:8). God knows the heart of all men and needs not that any should testify of man (John 2:24-25). Once you hear the commandments of God and know that you have broken them, sinning against Him, God wants your mouth to be stopped (Rom. 3:19).

On top of all of that, prayer is a LABOR that man OFFERS God. You cannot get saved by offering God your works!

Colossians 4:12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.

Hebrews 5:7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;

Compare that to 2 Timothy 1:9-10 and Romans 4:5.

"Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

Romans 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness

So that people do not misunderstand what I am saying, I will tell you exactly what I am saying:

Salvation is received by faith alone in the gospel of Christ, how that He died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day (1 Cor. 1:17-18, 2:2, 15:1-4). As soon as you put your confidence and trust in Christ and what He did for you, that is when you are saved (Rom. 1:16-17, 3:19-28, 4:5, 4:24-5:1, Phil. 3:1-9, Gal. 3:1-3, 6:14). You are then sealed with the Holy Spirit unto the day of redemption and are baptized by the Holy Spirit into Christ (Eph. 1:12-14, 4:30, 5:30, 1 Cor. 12:12-18).

Therefore, since salvation is received by faith alone without any mixture of works, prayer has absolutely no part whatsoever in salvation. To tell someone they will be saved by "repeating after you" is a false gospel that denies the truth that Christ is the only mediator between God and men (1 Tim. 2:5). To tell someone to pray in order to be saved is to be telling them to offer their works to God in order to be saved.

I fully understand that all people pray when they get saved, for the Bible says that when we got saved that God "sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father" (Gal. 4:6). And "ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:" (Rom. 8:15-16).

And thus begins a lifelong communion with God by the Holy Ghost whereby we have access to the Father (Eph. 2:18).

Everybody prays (whether in their heart, mind, or mouth) WHEN they get saved. However, nobody gets saved BY praying. No apostle, preacher, or evangelist in the Bible ever told anyone to repeat a prayer after them to be saved. It was simply "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved" (Acts 13:38-39, 16:31).

Even in the OT Abel was saved BEFORE men began to call upon the name of the Lord (Gen. 4:8, 4:26).

If you have trusted Jesus Christ alone for salvation, you are saved. The reason I make an issue out of the "sinner's prayer" is because it is unbiblical and I was unsaved for the first 13 years of my life trusting in a mere recitation of man-made words that I repeated just because someone told me to.

I have heard many people brag about their experience at the "altar" and the prayer they prayed, but that isn't salvation. When you talk about getting saved by praying at the altar you might as well be talking about getting saved by keeping the ten commandments, because they are both WORKS.

Proof that Bill Nye the "science" guy is a fool

The great engineer and science enthusiast Bill Nye the "science" guy has demonstrated beyond any doubt that he is completely ignorant and/or stupid.

Bill Nye's ignorance demonstration #1:

1:42-1:52 "These people rely on a book translated into English, for lack of a better expression, countless times over the past 5,000 years."

I am not a language expert by any means, but it is my understanding that English didn't originate until 550 AD with the Anglo Saxon old English.

I am not an expert on the Bible, but it is my understanding that the oldest book it contains is Job, which was written during the time of Abraham (about 2,000 years after creation). So the Bible is only 4000 years old.

Bill Nye's ignorance: The Bible has been translated into English countless times over the past 5,000 years.

FACTS: There was no Bible 5,000 years ago nor was there any English language.

Bill Nye's ignorance demonstration #2:

In Bill Nye's interview with Michael Shermer (and in his debate with Ken Ham) on "Evolution and the Science of Creation" he stated that the Flood of Noah's day occurring in the Old Testament was a problem, since Jesus did not show up until the New Testament. Bill Nye didn't see why Christians believe the Flood account since it is "Old Testament" and Jesus did not show up until the "New Testament". He stated this as if the OT and NT were completely separate books unrelated to each other, when in reality they are two sections of the same book, God's word.

In fact, the titles "Old Testament" and "New Testament" are placed on intro pages in our Bibles by the publishers, God did not inspire the title "New Testament" to be between Malachi and Matthew.

It is actually unbiblical to say that the NT begins in Matthew 1:1, since the New Testament did not begin until the death of Christ (Heb. 9:16 "For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator."). The first 26 chapters of Matthew, the first 14 chapters of Mark, the first 22 chapters of Luke, and the first 18 chapters of John are OLD TESTAMENT.

Secondly, Jesus Christ did not originate in the 4 Gospels. The four Gospels are only a record of when the Word of God (the Son) "became flesh" and lived as a man (1 Tim. 3:16, John 1:14). What Bill Nye was doing when he made his statement was trying to snub the idea that "all things were made" by Jesus Christ and that "without him was not any thing made that was made" (John 1:1-3, Col. 1:15-17). Bill Nye was attacking the Deity of Christ and diminishing the OT Scriptures.

Jesus did not begin in the NT, He is the eternal God and is from everlasting.

John 8:
[56] Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.
[57] Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
[58] Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am
.

Micah 5:2  But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting

The OT books and the NT books are ONE VOLUME, they are not separate accounts. The NT is just a continuation of God's dealings with man. The OT prophesies of Christ and most of the NT books are in fulfillment of the OT (except for Paul's epistles covering the mystery Dispensation of Grace, which was kept secret since the world began).

If Bill Nye would actually read the Bible instead of mock it he would notice that Mark 1:1-2 says, "The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; As it is written in the prophets...". The Gospel records are a continuation of Genesis-Malachi. The Bible has divisions, but it also has an amazing unity.

As for the Flood being "Old Testament" and not a doctrine taught by Jesus, Bill Nye should get his head out of his rear long enough to read where Jesus taught the Flood as literal history.....

"But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." (Matthew 24:37-39)

Noah and the Flood are also mentioned in Luke 17:26-27, Hebrews 11:7, 1 Peter 3:20, and 2 Peter 2:5.

Bill Nye's ignorance demonstration #3:

Bill Nye likes to say that Christian parents are "holding their kids back" and that Christians are holding the U.S. back from future scientific innovations. He says that we need more engineers and scientists to keep the economy going. Bill claims that if we do not teach American children evolution then they will not be able to understand how electricity, smoke alarms, and iPhones work. He says we do not want to raise a generation of "scientifically illiterate" people.  In fact, he says that "indoctrinating" children into believing in creationism is very wrong. Bill Nye says that evolution is the basis of all the life sciences.

These points are ones that Bill Nye brings up very often. However, he is blatantly lying and he knows it. Teaching kids creationism will not hold them back in any way from becoming scientists and engineers. There are two engineers that go to the same church I do (civil and aerospace).

The Republican presidential candidate and world famous neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson is a creationist.

Dr. Carson is considered one of the world's greatest neurosurgeons (he has separated conjoined twins).

Dr. Carson isn't the only medical doctor that is a creationist. A lot of polls show that 60% of American medical doctors reject human evolution. In my own personal experience, every medical doctor that I have met is a Christian.

If Bill Nye wants to talk about new discoveries and scientific discoveries, he should look at Raymond Damadian, the inventor of the first MRI scanner. (who is a CREATIONIST)

From Answers in Genesis: https://answersingenesis.org/creation-scientists/modern/

Bill Nye should look at the book In Six Days by Dr. John Ashton, a compilation of articles written by FIFTY PhD scientists and engineers on why they are creationists.

If Bill Nye thinks that creationism is bad for kids, he should look at the fruits of teaching kids creationism vs the fruits of teaching them Darwinism. If you teach a kid evolution, they think they are an insignificant ANIMAL that exists by complete chance and random mutations. Darwinism equals no morals. If humans are just highly evolved animals, we should be able to act like animals and nobody should be able to tell us what to do. Drinking, smoking, drugs, divorce, murder, fornication, and such like is completely okay if you follow Darwinism through on it's implications. That is, morality is a figment of religious imagination.

I wonder how many people Bill Nye can find that would testify to how much better off they are after leaving the Bible and accepting Darwinism.

Here are the plain FACTS of the matter:

Darwinism never kept anyone out of prison, the Bible has.

Darwinism never kept any family from being torn apart by divorce, the Bible has.

Darwinism never kept anyone from stealing, the Bible has.

Darwinism never kept anyone from committing adultery, the Bible has.

Darwinism has never kept anyone from fornicating, the Bible has.

When people are sick, sad, discouraged, or depressed, they don't read Principles of Geology by Charles Lyell. They don't read Charles Darwin's Origin of Species or The Descent of Man. They don't read Richard Dawkins The Greatest Show on Earth, The Blind Watchmaker, of The God Delusion. They read the Holy Bible.

The Bible has had a moral influence on children and societies ever since it was given to man by God.

Has morality improved society since Lyell, Hutton, and Darwin wrote their books? I don't think so! As the saying goes, "It's back to the Bible or back to the jungle".

Do you want to know what kind of impact Darwinism has on children? Ask Richard Dawkins, the world famous biologist and champion of Darwinism. Richard Dawkins was referring to a child molesting teacher he had  as a child when he said, "I don’t think he did any of us lasting harm."

Richard Dawkins said, "I am very conscious that you can’t condemn people of an earlier era by the standards of ours. Just as we don’t look back at the 18th and 19th centuries and condemn people for racism in the same way as we would condemn a modern person for racism, I look back a few decades to my childhood and see things like caning, like mild pedophilia, and can’t find it in me to condemn it by the same standards as I or anyone would today"

That is how the mind of an evangelical Darwinian Atheist thinks. Richard Dawkins is completely sick!

But, according to Bill Nye, it is the creationists that are holding American children back. The creationists are having a negative impact on the country.

Bill Nye is clearly very ignorant and sometimes a flat-out liar. He knows that understanding how electricity, iPhones, and smoke alarms work have absolutely nothing to do with believing in creation or evolution.  He just says those things to portray Darwinism as intelligent and creationism as "scientifically illiterate". He is a liar.

"The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good." (Psalms 14:1)

"The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good." (Psalms 53:1)

Romans 1:
[18] For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
[19] Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
[20] For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
[21] Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
[22] Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools
