Social Darwinism demonstrates the wickedness behind Atheism

This is from a kids education website called "Brain Pop". Even they admit that Darwinism has terrible consequences, it degenerates society into stupid animals. Darwinists have no reason to believe in morals and ethics! Which is why the highly esteemed Darwinist author Richard Dawkins says that he has no problem with "mild" actions of Pedophiles.

The motive behind Atheism is not science or intelligence, it is SIN.

Psalms 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Psalms 53:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

--Eli Caldwell

"Charles Darwin’s theory of natural selection revolutionized the scientific world. But its ripples were felt in many other fields, too—sometimes with unfortunate consequences.

An example of this is a theory called social Darwinism, supported by British thinkers like Herbert Spencer and Francis Galton (who was actually Charles Darwin’s cousin). According to social Darwinists, societies evolve in the same way that organisms do. So-called “weak” members of society—those who are physically or mentally “inferior”—are removed from the gene pool by natural processes, until society itself reaches a perfect state.

This was a major mis-application of Darwin’s ideas. In nature, the changes brought about by natural selection don’t have a specific goal. Instead, they’re merely reactions to changes in the environment.

At a time when the poor faced extremely unfair working and living conditions, social Darwinists claimed that the poor were naturally “inferior” to their rich bosses, and that helping them would violate the laws of nature. Social Darwinism was used to support colonialism and militarism—after all, if one country can invade and occupy another, isn’t it just demonstrating its natural superiority?

Most frighteningly, it was used to justify the horrific ideas of Adolf Hitler. In Nazi Germany, mentally and physically disabled people were either sterilized (prevented from being able to reproduce) or murdered in order to “strengthen” society. And the Holocaust was a Nazi attempt to remove “inferior” Jewish genes from Europe.

Fortunately, after the world witnessed the evil social Darwinism had caused in World War II, the theory was widely discredited during the second half of the 20th century."

What is the "falling away" of 2 Thes. 2:3?

There is some debate over what the "falling away" is that Paul mentioned in 2 Thessalonians 2:3. Bible correctors say that it is referring to the rapture of the Body of Christ (obviously not true, though I am "pre trib") and others say it is a reference to apostasy of the Body of Christ in the last days. I believe both views are wrong.

I think when we look at 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 and then go back to Daniel where the Man of Sin and the 70th week are talked about extensively, we will have a good understanding of what the falling away is.

2 Thessalonians 2:
[1] Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
[2] That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
[3] Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
[4] Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God
.

Daniel 11:
[33] And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days.
[34] Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries.
[35] And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.
[36] And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.
[37] Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
[38] But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things
.

The falling away that precedes the Son of Perdition exalting himself is referring to the Jews falling by the sword, by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days. This falling is the judgment that God will bring on them to "to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end".

Remember in Zechariah 13:9 God said "And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God."

And in Malachi 2:2-3 it says "But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap: And he shall sit as a refiner and purifer of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness."

Daniel's 70th Week, the time of Jacob's trouble, is a refining process that God will use to judge Israel and purge their sins. This is God's wrath, which is why we know that the Church the Body of Christ will not be in Daniel's 70th Week (1 Thes. 1:10, 5:9, Rom. 5:9).

Psalms 79:
[1] O God, the heathen are come into thine inheritance; thy holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Jerusalem on heaps.
[2] The dead bodies of thy servants have they given to be meat unto the fowls of the heaven, the flesh of thy saints unto the beasts of the earth.
[3] Their blood have they shed like water round about Jerusalem; and there was none to bury them.
[4] We are become a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and derision to them that are round about us.
[5] How long, LORD? wilt thou be angry for ever? shall thy jealousy burn like fire?
[6] Pour out thy wrath upon the heathen that have not known thee, and upon the kingdoms that have not called upon thy name.
[7] For they have devoured Jacob, and laid waste his dwelling place.
[8] O remember not against us former iniquities: let thy tender mercies speedily prevent us: for we are brought very low.
[9] Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name's sake.
[10] Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is their God? let him be known among the heathen in our sight by the revenging of the blood of thy servants which is shed.
[11] Let the sighing of the prisoner come before thee; according to the greatness of thy power preserve thou those that are appointed to die;
[12] And render unto our neighbours sevenfold into their bosom their reproach, wherewith they have reproached thee, O Lord.
[13] So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generations
.

God will purge Israel by the spirit of judgment. This is the purpose of the time of Jacob's trouble.

Isaiah 4:
[1] And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.
[2] In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.
[3] And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem:
[4] When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.
[5] And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence.
[6] And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

Ezekiel 22:
[14] Can thine heart endure, or can thine hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with thee? I the LORD have spoken it, and will do it.
[15] And I will scatter thee among the heathen, and disperse thee in the countries, and will consume thy filthiness out of thee.
[Remember Jesus said under the gospel of the kingdom that they will have to endure to the end to be saved in Matthew 10:22, 24:13-14, Mark 13:13.]

Isaiah 1:
[24] Therefore saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies:
[25] And I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin:
[26] And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellers as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.
[27] Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.
[28] And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed.
[29] For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which ye have desired, and ye shall be confounded for the gardens that ye have chosen.
[30] For ye shall be as an oak whose leaf fadeth, and as a garden that hath no water.
[31] And the strong shall be as tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall quench them.

After this refining and purifying, God will gather the believing remnant of Israel back to Jerusalem and will reign 1,000 years (Rev. 19-20).

Ezekiel 20:
[33] As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you:
[34] And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out.
[35] And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face.
[36] Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, saith the Lord GOD.
[37] And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant:
[38] And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
[39] As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord GOD; Go ye, serve ye every one his idols, and hereafter also, if ye will not hearken unto me: but pollute ye my holy name no more with your gifts, and with your idols.
[40] For in mine holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them in the land, serve me: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the firstfruits of your oblations, with all your holy things.
[41] I will accept you with your sweet savour, when I bring you out from the people, and gather you out of the countries wherein ye have been scattered; and I will be sanctified in you before the heathen.
[42] And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to your fathers.

The falling away that is found in Daniel 11:33-38 and 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 (that precedes the Son of Perdition exalting himself) is referring to the Jews falling by the sword, by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days. This falling is the judgment that God will bring on them to "to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end". The falling away is not apostasy in the grace age, it is the fall of the nation of Israel into God's judgment. (He will use the Man of Sin to do this) There is no reason to believe that believers under grace must go apostate before the Day of the Lord will come, you don't have to do much reading before you realize that most believers throughout history have been apostates. Even in Paul's day....

The chuches of Galatia

Galatians 1:6-7 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

The churches of Asia

2 Timothy 1:15 This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.

And we all know Corinth's situation. The Bible does not teach that believers under grace must reach a certain level of apostasy before the Day of the Lord begins.

Living fossils disprove evolution

Atheists love to tell us what animals and plants lived billions and millions of years ago and when they went extinct. However, it is a proven fact that Atheists have no idea what they are talking about when it comes to "extinct" species.

Neoglyphea neocaledonica: A crustacean that has the appearance of  a shrimp mixed with a mud lobster, it was believed to have gone extinct 60 million years ago before it was rediscovered in the 1970s. It never occurred to the atheists that maybe it just wasn't millions of years old. If macro evolution does happen, Neoglyphea neocaledonica should have evolved into something else by now.

Coelacanth: A fish which supposedly reached its peak population around 240 million years ago, was thought to have been extinct for 80 million years—until one was caught off the coast of Madagascar in 1939. It never occurred to the atheists that maybe it just wasn't millions of years old. If macro evolution does happen, Coelacanth should have evolved into something else by now.

Laotian rock rat: A rock-climbing rodent supposedly thrived between 30 million and 11 million years ago, this rare species is found in Southeast Asia. Scientists believe it’s the only surviving rodent of its kind. It never occurred to the atheists that maybe it just wasn't millions of years old. If macro evolution does happen, the Laotian rock rat should have evolved into something else by now.

The ginkgo trees that grow today are nearly identical to the fossilized ginkgoes that thrived during the so called "Jurassic" and "Cretaceous" eras, supposedly more than 100 million years ago. Why hasn't the tree evolved any in 100 million years?

Psalms 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Psalms 53:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

Proverbs 16:22 Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools is folly.

John Davis, Time For A False Gospel (Part 2)

Continuing my response to John Davis's friends that send me his newsletter, this post will be about why I disagree with John Davis on the GOSPEL and how it is received.

To begin with I will say what I believe about salvation: The gospel of the grace of God is how that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day for our justification (1 Cor. 15:1-4, Rom. 4:25). God manifest in the flesh shed His own blood to pay for our sins (1 Tim. 3:16, John 1:29, 1 John 2:2, Eph. 1:7, Col. 1:14). Any sinner anywhere can "receive the atonement" be "now justified by His blood" by placing their faith in Christ, trusting Him alone so save them from their sins (Rom. 3:19-27, Eph. 1:13, 2:8-9, Titus 3:4-7, 2 Tim. 1:9, Acts 13:38-39, 16:30-31, Rom 5:1-9). That is what salvation is, forgiveness of sins by Jesus Christ. There is no other mediator between God and men (1 Tim. 2:5-6). Which means anything other than faith in Christ is EXCLUDED from how you receive Christ. There is only ONE way to be saved, and that is by faith in Christ (Gal. 1:5-12, 3:26). Salvation is "to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly" (Rom. 4:5). Anything else will get you DEBT, not saving grace (Rom. 4:4, Eph. 2:8-9). Your works are LOSS and DUNG to God (Phil. 3:7-9). This means no water baptism, no tithing to the church, no "mass", no Sabbath keeping, no 'good' morals, no animal sacrifices, no confession of sins, and no prayers can save you. Only faith in Christ ALONE can save you.

However, John Davis heavily disagrees. He believes that you can labor your way to Heaven. Because I take the above position on salvation, John Davis says that I am probably not saved and may end up at the Great White Throne Judgement (Rev. 20:11-15). See his latest newsletter where he suggests that I am not saved throughout it
http://www.timefortruth.co.uk/content/pages/documents/1461429266.pdf

It is strange that John Davis has never sent me a message telling me the gospel. He has never explained to me the gospel or told me how to be saved. You would think if he thought I wasn't saved then he would want to tell me how to be saved, but he hasn't. I wouldn't even know that he thought I wasn't saved if his friends hadn't of sent me his newsletters. He must not care if lost people get saved or not.

John Davis believes that you receive salvation by doing two things: #1 believe on Christ, #2 confess your sins to God and repeat a prayer asking Him to save you. (it helps if you bow your head, close your eyes, and walk down to an "altar".)

Here are some quotes from John Davis on his false gospel (also check the link above to Time For Truth News Issue 78). He says you are a "heretic" if you don't think that praying the sinner's prayer will get you saved. He says if you haven't prayed the prayer then "you're NOT saved". He says you "need" to do this.

"So what are you waiting for? Get saved TODAY! Ask the Lord Jesus Christ to forgive you of all your sins RIGHT NOW & come & save you. You need to do this from your heart NOT from your head - That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (Romans 10v9)
--John Davis http://www.timefortruth.co.uk/the-gospel/

"If you haven't asked JESUS CHRIST to forgive your sin & come & save you, you're NOT saved; for HE ALONE is the ONLY ONE who can save you! (John Davis, TFT News Issue 28) http://www.timefortruth.co.uk/tft-newsletters/

"These HERETICS tell you that by praying the sinner’s prayer you won’t get saved!
TfT News issue 77 http://www.timefortruth.co.uk/content/pages/documents/1454797861.pdf

"You will NEVER know the true meaning or purpose to life unless YOU confess your sins to the Lord Jesus Christ and receive Him as your Saviour. Don’t take my word for it, pray to the Lord Jesus Christ asking Him to forgive you and help you through your LIFE, you really need Him."
Does Anyone Really Care? http://www.timefortruth.co.uk/content/pages/documents/1327949167.pdf

John Davis also says that Acts 2:38, "repent and be baptized...for the remission of sins", is how we get saved under Grace.

"Those baptized in Acts 2v38-41 still received the gift of the Holy Ghost and were saved as anyone having salvation today, 3000 being added unto them i.e. the apostles, Acts 2v41."
(Tim for Truth News! Issue 75 April-May 2015)

John Davis does not believe that a man is justified by faith, he believes man is justified by faith plus confession of sins, prayer, etc.

Does God want people to open their mouths and start nagging for salvation? Or does God want sinner's to stop trusting their own righteousness and look to Christ and His shed blood for their sins? Let's see....

John 2:24-25 But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men, And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.

John 9:31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

Romans 3:19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

1 Peter 3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

Proverbs 1:28-30 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.

Proverbs 15:29 The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.

Proverbs 28:9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

Isaiah 1:15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

Isaiah 59:
[1] Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
[2] But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
[3] For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.
[4] None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity
.

Psalms 34: [15] The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.
[16] The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
[17] The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles
.

Matthew 7: [21] Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
[22] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
[23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity

Matthew 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.

Prayer has nothing to do with getting saved, faith in the blood of Christ to wash away your sins does!

But John Davis ignores all of those scriptures and takes other verses out of context to back up his false gospel. Here is his most pathetic "proof text"...

Matthew 7:7-8 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

That passage has nothing to do with lost people getting saved. Christ is referring to saved children of God asking the Father for something (it is not even referring to the Dispensation of Grace, we do not get everything we ask for). Look at verses 9-11. He is referring to the disciples in the context of the gospel of the kingdom (Luke 11:1-13). Not salvation.

Here is an example of some people that KNOCK and ASK but do not "receive"!!

Luke 13:
[25] When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
[26] Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
[27] But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
[28] There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out

John Davis does not understand that prayer is a WORK that you OFFER God and persevere in...

Colossians 4:12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God

Hebrews 5:7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;

Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

John Davis thinks you can "offer" God your "labor" of prayer and He will save you. That is far from what the Bible says, "to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness." (Rom. 4:5)

John Davis adds more to salvation than just faith in Christ, he denies the doctrine of justification by faith. I understand that coming to a so called altar, getting on your knees, bowing your head, closing your eyes, and repeating a prayer are not considered "big" works like keeping the 10 commandments, BUT THEY ARE STILL WORKS. Whether you add a big work or a small work to salvation, it is still a WORK.

Prayer to God is for saved people, when He puts His Holy Spirit in us whereby we cry to Him "Abba Father"....not for lost people who are of their father the devil.

Romans 8:
[14] For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
[15] For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father
.

Galatians 4:
[3] Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:
[4] But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
[5] To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
[6] And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father

Ephesians 2:18 For through him [Christ] we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

John Davis seems to think that lost people have the same access to God as saved people do, which diminishes the grace that Christ has given us.

Some people try to justify the "sinner's prayer" 1-2-3 repeat after me false gospel by pointing to verses in the Psalms that mention calling on the Lord (such as Ps. 116). But those passages are in the context of calling on the Lord to save you from trouble and from enemies, not for salvation under grace. The popular one is Psalms 116, but that passage actually disproves what the sinner's prayer people teach. The prayer and calling there is what the Psalmist renders to God BECAUSE God blessed him with benefits (vs 12-13). That passage is also about paying vows to the Lord (vs 14, 18,19).

Another passage sinner's prayer people point to is Luke 18:9-14, but that passage is a "parable" (vs 9) spoken to people under the gospel of the kingdom, it is not the gospel message for anyone. (you can repeat the phrase "Lord be merciful to me a sinner" all day long and go to hell). Besides, the people who use those verses don't actually obey them. Do you go up to a temple to pray like the Jews under the Law did (vs 10).

But the favorite passage of all sinner's prayer advocates is Romans 10:9-13. But the passage does not support what these false gospel advocates teach. Romans 1-8 is written about Gentile salvation and the Body of Christ. Paul already established that a man receives righteousness and salvation by faith in the gospel of Christ without works (Rom. 1:16-17, 3:19-27, 4:1-5, 4:24-5:1). Romans 9-11 is mainly dealing with Israel (of course Paul does deal with the Gentiles as well). Romans 10 says nothing about asking the Lord for anything, it says "confess". (which means to admit and acknowledge, not ask)

Paul says in Romans 10:1 that he is referring to Israel's salvation. In Rom. 10:9 the "thou" is the same thou of verses 6-8 and Deut. 30:11-14, Israel. Paul quotes Joel 2:32 which is about Israel. Besides that, the passages he quotes are not about salvation from sin, but rather salvation from apostasy and falling. What does Deuteronomy 30:11-14 and Joel 2:32 have to do with anyone's salvation from sin? Romans 10 is a reference to the national salvation of Israel from their apostasy. Israel "fell" at Acts 7 with the stoning of Stephen and they were diminished and cast away (temporarily--Rom 11:25-27) for denying Christ and blaspheming the Holy Ghost (Acts 3:13-14, 7:51), some of them could be saved from their fall by confessing Christ.

It would be strange if Romans 10:9-10 were referring to the salvation of our soul because that would mean that we became "righteous" when we believed, but we weren't "saved" until we call upon the Lord. It is obviously impossible to separate the righteousness and salvation of the soul (you can't have one without the other). Also, if Paul is referring to the individual salvation of the soul, it would be strange that he did not mention it in chapters 3-5 of Romans where he was dealing with salvation from sin. And again when Paul mentions the gospel in Rom. 10:16 it is said that you obey it by believing it, not by confessing. "
But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?"

Sinner's prayer advocates also try to apply Isaiah 55:6 to Gentiles under Grace, "Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:" But Paul applied Isaiah 65:1 to the Gentiles which says "I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me." (Rom. 10:20)

I have made many other posts on the "sinner's prayer" issue here:

John Davis, Time For A False Gospel (Part 1)

Inline image 1

Some of John Davis's friends like to send me Time for Truth Newsletters in order to show me that I am a "hyper diaper", "moron", "cult", etc. They have been pleased to announce the grand ERRORS OF HYPER DISPENSATIONALISM page, which can be found here:
http://www.timefortruth.co.uk/errors-of-hyperdispensationalism/

I encourage everyone to take a look at that. But, I prefer his followers stop filling my inbox with his stuff. I know how to get to his blog and will go there when I want.

But I don't have a problem with John Davis's dispensational teachings. We agree on 95% of dispensational issues, I am unsure why he chose to make a contention with me on a nuance in the difference in our positions.

John Davis and I both agree that in Paul's writings alone we find the doctrine, position, walk, and destiny of the Church (1 Cor. 4:16, 11:1-2, Phil. 3:17, 2 Tim. 2:7, Eph. 3:1-9, Col. 1:24-28). Dr. C.I. Scofield, says the same thing on his footnote on Ephesians 3:6 in the Scofield Reference Bible (KJB).

John Davis and I both agree that signs, tongues, healings, etc. have ceased with the close of the Acts period and the completion of the New Testament scriptures.

John Davis and I both agree that Daniel's 70th Week belongs to Israel and NOT the Body of Christ (Jer. 30:7, Daniel 9:24).  We are caught up to meet the Lord in the air PRIOR to the Second Coming of Christ to the Earth (1 Thes. 1:10, 4:13-18, 5:9, 1 Cor. 15:51-58, Phil. 3:20-21).

John Davis and I both agree that the Gospel of the Kingdom, the Gospel of the Grace of God, and the Everlasting Gospel are different gospels (2 Tim. 2:15).

There is a long list of dispensational teachings that we both agree on. What we disagree on is simple and not a big deal to me. (apparently it is a huge deal to John Davis) Here is our difference:

John Davis's belief on the origin of Body of Christ: John Davis believes the Church (Body of Christ) started at the cross (Eph. 2:16) and that the first members of it were the 12 apostles in Acts chapter 2 when God poured out His Spirit on them for power (Acts 1:5, 8, 1 Cor. 12:28). However, nobody knew about the existence of the Body of Christ until it was revealed to Paul (Eph. 3:1-9).

My belief in the origin of the Body of Christ: The Body of Christ was in the mind of God before the world began (Eph. 3:9-11), but did not begin until after the death of Christ and the ascension (Eph. 1:20-23, 2:13-16). Specifically, the only way into the Body of Christ is by believing the Gospel of the Grace of God that was revealed to Paul in Acts 9 (Eph. 1:13, 2:17, 3:6).

These are really just differences in perspective. Note:

John Davis would take Paul's statement in Ephesians 2:16 "by the cross" to mean "at the cross" while I take the statement to mean that it is by the cross that Christ was able to form the Church, that is what He slew the enmity by. It does not say the Church started "at the cross", it says Christ is able to reconcile both unto God in one body BY the cross.

John Davis believes the baptism performed by Christ with the Holy Ghost for power is the same thing as the baptism performed by the Holy Ghost putting us into Christ for salvation. There is a difference between Matthew 3:11 (baptism with the Holy Ghost for power) and the baptism into Christ performed by the Holy Spirit (Rom. 6:3-4, 1 Cor. 12:12-18, Col. 2:10-12).

John Davis would say that 1 Corinthians 12:28 means that the 12 apostles were the first members of the Body of Christ. I would say that it is referring to the authority in the Church. If it is referring to the order in which people get in to the Body of Christ then that would mean the last person to get saved before the rapture is someone that speaks in tongues since that is the last thing listed. The fact that it is referring to authority is evidenced by the inclusion of "helps" and "governments".

John Davis says that being "in the Lord" refers to being in the Body of Christ in John 17 and Acts 5:14. But that could not be the case. Because in John 17 Christ says "I pray not for the world"(vs 9) but Paul said about the Body of Christ "ye walked according to the course of this world" and that we were "without God in the world" (Eph. 2:2, 12). Christ said in John 17 that the 12 apostles would be "one" so "that the world may believe that thou hast sent me" and "that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me". How would putting the apostles in an invisible spiritual body that is seated in heavenly places in Christ cause the world to believe and know Christ? They wouldn't even know about it (we wouldn't even know about this unity if it weren't in the Bible, it can't be physically felt). The context of what Christ is referring to is being ONE in sanctification (John 17:17-18). Believers of the Gospel of the Kingdom who did the will of the Father were IN CHRIST. John 6:56-57 "He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me." The eating of flesh is figurative of doing the will of God living by Him: "I have meat to eat that ye know not of...My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work." (John 4:32-34). We know this is what Christ was referring to in John 17

"That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee...I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one" (John 17:21-23)

"I have meat to eat that ye know not of...My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work." (John 4:32-34) "He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me." (John 6:56-57)

Sanctification is the context of John 17, not a spiritual church. The believers living by Christ would also cause the world to believe that Christ sent them. But that makes no sense at all if He were referring to a spiritual invisible church that the world would never see.

Also, the apostles were present with Christ in John 17 (Jn. 16:33), Christ was not alone praying in the garden until after John 18:1. We know that the Lord revealed the mystery of the Body of Christ to Paul first, not the the apostles in John 17. Therefore that could not be what He was referring to (else it wasn't a mystery revealed to Paul). Believers of the Gospel of the Kingdom in Daniel's 70th Week are said to be "in the Lord" (Rev. 14:13), but they obviously aren't in the Body of Christ because it will have been raptured to Heaven already (1 Thes. 1:10). The Old Testament has prophecy of Israel being in the Lord (Isa. 45:17, 24-25), it is not a unique term for the Body of Christ.

But if John Davis does believe that the world would see that Christ was sent by the Father by Him creating a spiritual, invisible church seated in Heaven, then that is his right.

If John Davis believes that the context of John 17 is a invisible, spiritual church of all believers seated in Heaven rather than sanctification, then that is his right.

If John Davis believes that every time the phrase "in the Lord" is used that it is referring to the Body of Christ, then that is his right.

If John Davis believes that Christ revealed the truth of the Body of Christ to the 12 apostles first, then Paul later, then that is his right.

My position is that the only way to become part of the Body of Christ is to believe the Gospel of the Grace of God, not the Gospel of the Kingdom or the Everlasting Gospel that will also be preached (by an angel). I base my belief on the following scriptures:

1 Corinthians 4:
[15] For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
[16] Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.
[17] For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church
.
[What gospel would Paul be referring to in verse 15? The gospel of the grace of God. The gospel of the kingdom will not get anyone into the Body of Christ. The gospel of the kingdom made people part of Israel's "little flock" and "Israel of God" that would receive the Kingdom of Heaven (Luke 12:32, Matt. 21:43, Rom. 9:1-8, Gal. 6:16).]

Ephesians 1:
[11] In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
[12] That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
[13] In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
[14] Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory
.
[The context of this passage is being blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ and obtaining an inheritance in Christ and the rapture of the Body of Christ (vs. 14). How do you partake of these things? By trusting Christ believing the gospel of the grace of God (vs 13).]

Ephesians 2:
[4] But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
[5] Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
[6] And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
[7] That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
[8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
[9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.
[10] For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them
.
[When did God raise us up together and seat us together in heavenly places in Christ? When did we become His workmanship created in Christ? When we believed the gospel of the grace of God (vs 8-9). Not the gospel of the kingdom.]

Ephesians 2:
[13] But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
[14] For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
[15] Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
[16] And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
[17] And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh
.
[Christ reconciled Jew and Gentile together by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby, AND came and preached peace to us which were afar off and to them that were nigh. That "peace" preached is the gospel of the grace of God.]

Ephesians 3:
[1] For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,
[2] If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to youward:
[3] How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
[4] Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
[5] Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
[6] That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
[7] Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power
.
[How do you become a fellowheir, of the body of Christ, and a partaker of His promise in Christ? BY THE GOSPEL.]

2 Thessalonians 2:
[13] But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
[14] Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ
.
[The context of this passage is a contrast between the Body of Christ and the unbelievers who will be here on Earth during Daniel's 70th Work and will be deceived by God into believing the lie of the Son of Perdition. How do you escape this wrath and obtain the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ? By Paul's gospel (vs 14).]

1 Corinthians 3:
[9] For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
[10] According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
[11] For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ
.
[Obviously Paul was not the first person to preach Jesus Christ, but he was the first person to preach Christ according to the revelation of the mystery, the dispensation of grace. That is the message that gets you into the Body of Christ, therefore Paul "laid the foundation" of God's building, the church.]

1 Timothy 1:
[11] According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
[12] And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
[13] Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
[14] And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
[15] This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
[16] Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting
.
[To me it is apparent that the Dispensation of Grace began with Paul at his salvation (vs 14), Christ shewed grace and longsuffering in all dispensations, but in Paul first He shewed "all longsuffering" "for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe" on Christ. If the 12 apostles were the first ones to be in the Body of Christ and partake of the Dispensation of Grace (the revelation of the mystery), why are they not the pattern for all longsuffering and exceeding abundant grace?]

Were the apostles and believers of the Gospel of the Kingdom in Acts 1-8 made members of the Body of Christ before the Gospel of the Grace of God was revealed to Paul? I don't believe so. The 12 apostles had no knowledge of the Dispensation of Grace, the Gospel of the Grace of God, and the rapture of the Body of Christ in those chapters. They were looking for the Kingdom to be restored to Israel, Daniel's 70th Week, and Christ to take away their sins at the Second Advent.

Acts 1:
[6] When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
[7] And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
[8] But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth
.

Acts 2:
[14] But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
[15] For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.
[16] But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
[17] And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God,I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
[18] And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
[19] And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
[20] The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:
[21] And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved
.

Acts 2:
[34] For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
[35] Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
[36] Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ
.

Acts 3:
[19] Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
[20] And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:
[21] Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.
[22] For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
[23] And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.
[24] Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.
[25] Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed
.

John Davis would say that the 12 apostles taught these doctrines because they did not know about the Dispensation of Grace because it had not been revealed yet, but I disagree. The 12 apostles were filled with the Holy Ghost and spake by Him, they wouldn't be preaching doctrine that wasn't true dispensationally. If the Dispensation of Grace had begun, then Peter's preaching would be a lie.

The believers in early Acts were not the Body of Christ, they were "the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers". They were not believing the Gospel of the Grace of God knowing that they were crucified, buried, risen, and seated with Christ as a member of His body. They believed that their "sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord", Israel's plan of salvation, not the Body of Christ's (Rom. 11:25-27). What Peter says in Acts 3:19 is what Paul says has been postponed until the fullness of the Gentiles comes in.

Romans 11:
[25] For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
[26] And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
[27] For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins
.

The fall and blindness of Israel had not even occurred until Acts 8, so how could the Dispensation of Grace have begun if Israel still had its preferred position before God and was being offered the Kingdom?

The Body of Christ is Jew and Gentile being reconciled unto God by the cross (Eph. 2:16), but how could Israel be "reconciled" when it had not fallen yet? (it is my belief that it couldn't)

Also, the Dispensation of Grace was a "great mystery", "kept secret since the world began", "which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God" (Eph. 3:1-9, 5:32, Rom. 11:25, 16:25, Col. 1:24-28). But in Acts 1-8 Peter said "this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel", "And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began" and "Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days." So how could the mystery Dispensation of Grace have taken place in those early chapters?

Also, one very clear reason why those early believers of the Gospel of the Kingdom were not in the Body of Christ is that one of them lost their salvation.

Acts 8:
[9] But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:
[10] To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God.
[11] And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries.
[12] But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
[13] Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.
[14] Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:
[15] Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:
[16] (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
[17] Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
[18] And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,
[19] Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.
[20] But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
[21] Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.
[22] Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
[23] For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.
[24] Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the Lord for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me
.

Notice that Simon "believed also: and...was baptized" according to Mark 16:15-16. He got saved according to the Kingdom gospel, but then he tried to buy the Holy Ghost with money, which is apparently blasphemy against the Holy Ghost (Matt. 12:31-32, Mark 3:29, Luke 12:10). Because Peter said that Simon was going to "PERISH" (vs. 20). Simon was in "the bond of iniquity", he was not a member of the Body of Christ "made free from sin" (Rom. 6:18, 22).

Another issue John Davis brings up is that the Bible uses the word "church" before Paul's conversion in Acts 9. But that is not an issue to me, because I do not believe that every time the word "church" is used that it refers to the Body of Christ. The Body of Christ is the church of the present dispensation, but God has always had a church. The word "church" is defined by the KJB as "congregation" (Ps. 22:22, with Heb. 2:12). The "congregation of Israel" of the Old Testament was God's church then according to Acts 7:38. The "congregation of the Lord" was Israel in the OT, "all Israel the congregation of the LORD" (1 Chr. 28:8). The obvious fact that the word "church" is used before Paul is not a very strong point against "Mid Acts Dispensationalism". If that were the issue, then the Body of Christ started in Exodus according to Acts 7:38.

Also, John Davis's belief that the Body of Christ began at the cross, but nobody was in it until Acts 2, makes zero sense. How could a church, congregation/assembly, begin BEFORE anyone is put in it? That is like saying a party started before the guests arrived. We are talking about a CHURCH, by definition it cannot begin until at least one person is assembled in Christ.

And think about this, if the Body of Christ began at the cross, it had no Head!

Ephesians 1:
[20] Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
[21] Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
[22] And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
[23] Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all
.

Christ could not be "head over all things to the church" until He ascended up to heavenly places.

And another point, it also takes the burial and resurrection to get into Christ (Rom. 6:3-4, Col. 2:10-13) not just the crucifixion.

If John Davis disagrees, if he believes the word of God teaches contrary to what I just said, he should go with what he believes is right. That doesn't bother me. However he seems to absolutely hate that I don't take his position.

I never challenged him on dispensationalism. Our positions are so similar that it isn't even worth mentioning to me. But if you read his "ERRORS OF HYPER DISPENSATIONALISM" page it is clear that he has an irrational hatred of my position, though I would say it is 95% similar to his. In all honesty, that is ridiculous.

It is especially ridiculous that he is always complaining about my position saying as I am obviously not a Bible teacher, preacher, master of theology, or anything like that. I am just a regular guy. I didn't even get saved until 5 years ago.

John Davis hates the fact that I even have a blog. The definition of a blog is "a website containing a writer's or group of writers' own experiences, observations, opinions, etc., and often having images and links to other websites". What is John Davis's website? http://www.timefortruth.co.uk/ It has his groups own experiences, observations, opinions, etc. and he shares images from other websites. His website is a blog...but he acts like it is a sin for me to have one.

Where I disagree with John Davis hugely is on the GOSPEL, how does a sinner receive salvation from sin unto God? That is where I disagree with John Davis the most,  I could care less about his dispensational position. Salvation is THE main thing, if we don't agree on salvation than we cannot have fellowship.

I will discuss John Davis's accursed false gospel in Part 2.

The Path of the Second Advent

This is one of my favorite studies done by Dr. Ruckman.

Reading this from Pastor Terrence McLean reminded me of it.

"The first sighting will be at Mt. Sinai (Deut. 33:1-3) and he will go northeast to Seir (Deut. 33:1-3, Judges 5:2-4).  From the most amazing Psalm 68 we see Christ continue northward to Bozrah.  From Bozrah the Lord continues north up the appropriately named King’s Highway and we see Him leave Edom in Isaiah 63:1-4.  Habakkuk 3:1-5 shows the Lord leaving Teman and Paran so we are able to follow His northward path to its zenith. Then south through Megiddo where enemies are dispatched (Habakkuk 3:15), across the Jordan near Jerhico (Judges 5:11) and into Jerusalem via the eastern gate. (Zechariah 14:1-3)." --Pastor Terrence McLean

Deuteronomy 33:
[1] And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.
[2] And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.
[3] Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words
.

Judges 5:
[2] Praise ye the LORD for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves.
[3] Hear, O ye kings; give ear, O ye princes; I, even I, will sing unto the LORD; I will sing praise to the LORD God of Israel.
[4] LORD, when thou wentest out of Seir, when thou marchedst out of the field of Edom, the earth trembled, and the heavens dropped, the clouds also dropped water
.

Isaiah 63:
[1] Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.
[2] Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?
[3] I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment
.

Habakkuk 3:
[1] A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet upon Shigionoth.
[2] O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.
[3] God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise.
[4] And his brightness was as the light; he had horns coming out of his hand: and there was the hiding of his power.

Modern paraphrase versions teach false gospel of baptismal regeneration

The so called "Church of Christ" (Campbellites) love to quote many different perversions of the Bible, I don't know of any Campbellite that sticks to ONE Book ONE Authority (especially not the KJB). They do this because the modern perversions teach baptismal regeneration, the heresy Campbellites love and worship.

Living Bible
Ephesians 5:25-27 And you husbands, show the same kind of love to your wives as Christ showed to the Church when he died for her,  to make her holy and clean, washed by baptism and God’s Word;  so that he could give her to himself as a glorious Church without a single spot or wrinkle or any other blemish, being holy and without a single fault.

Good News
Ephesians 5:25-27 Husbands, love your wives just as Christ loved the church and gave his life for it. He did this to dedicate the church to God by his word, after making it clean by washing it in water in order to present the church to himself in all its beauty—pure and faultless, without spot or wrinkle or any other imperfection.

New Revised Standard Version
Titus 3:5 he saved us, not because of any works of righteousness that we had done, but according to his mercy, through the water of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.

The King James Bible has both verses right....

Ephesians 5:25-27 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

When you look at the KJB's preserved text of Ephesians 5:26, you see that the "washing of water" is a figurative statement on the cleansing done "BY THE WORD". But the modern paraphrase versions make this a water baptism cleansing!

When you look at the KJB's preserved text of Titus 3:5, you see that there is no such thing as "water of rebirth" as blasphemously stated in the NRSV. The only washing is of "regeneration" and it is "of the Holy Ghost". (good cross reference--1 Cor. 6:11)

The KJB is the only inspired Bible preserved for the English speaking people. --Eli Caldwell

City on seven hills?

Another argument that people use to teach that Babylon in Revelation 17-18 is actually Rome is that the woman is said to sit on seven mountains. People say that since Rome is on seven hills, then it must really be Babylon. However, there is a difference between a "hill" and mountain. Besides that, the 7 mountains in Revelation 17 contextually are not referring to geographic features of the land area. The context clearly shows that the "mountains" are kingdoms, a word the Bible uses many times to refer to a kingdom. Look at the context, "The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. And there are seven kings...And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet...the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth". The Bible calls kingdoms "mountains" many times, it even calls Babylon a mountain (Jer. 51:24-25). Other kingdoms/cities are also called mountains (Dan. 2:35, 9:16, etc.).

Besides that, there are close to 70 cities that claim to be built on "seven hills". Why would Rome be more likely to be Babylon than any of these other cities, if "mountains" is referring to geographic features rather than kingdoms? Babylon is clearly BABYLON, not Rome/Jerusalem/America or anywhere else. The Bible says what it means and means what it says.
